This past New Years was our 5 th stay at Spinnakers. Needles to say, we love it here. Great craft beer, farm to table, local and organic food( wow, the food!) hospitable staff that care you are there! Try the fresh mussels est frites, the burger, homemade pastas, the greens are to die for, and the gnocchi on the new years menu was to die for.The ciopinno on the summer menu was sent from the heavens with the fresh dungeness, we had it twice! The cheesecakes are the best cheesecakes I have had, and Im a chef! Dont even get me started on the housemade chocolates.. ( omg...!) the rooms are comfortable and Unique with the antique furniture, and complete with a jet soaker tub... Perfect for sleeping in with the fire place to warm you in the morning with the gourmet basket of goodies left at your door. Spinnakers is our " happy Place!" we will return again and again ,and thanks Chris and staff for Always making our stay relaxing and perfect with all spinnakers has to offer! Have been there several times over the years, in Rm #5 when that was the last room. Not recently, though recommendations to friends have always been positive! From views to service to room, always pleased. Tour of the brewery, a learning experience! From kippers and eggs to oatmeal and stout, fish and chips!!! And the beer, my first visit I misunderstood the tasters, got pints instead and thought my room would have been better on the 1st floor. We are now in Monmouth, OR and will be staying with you again soon we hope!

We had a marvelous time at the rehearsal dinner we hosted at Spinnakers on August 12th. Our son Mike - and his new bride -Tracy-both grads of UVIC.

We enjoyed our most lovely and relaxing stay in the cottage. While enjoying fresh coffee and baked goods on our garden patio, the chef clipped fresh herbs from the garden. Many thanks and we will be back soon!

Our three day retreat was lovely, felt like we were in Europe with the enchanting courtyard overlooking the water.
Spinnakers staff at the front desk and houskeeping made every effort to accomodate our requests with cheerful professionalism.
The amazing freshly made scones and muffins baked at the brewpub were oustanding.

The room is wonderful and as already stated we fell in love with the closet, not to mention the decor, balcony and 'red riding hood' breakfast basket. My husband and I have stayed at Spinnaker's on many occasions. Our favorite room is #4 in the Heritage House. Everyone always asks us why #4 (the smallest). Our answer - it's quiet and romantic. We will be staying there again in August and are so looking forward to it. Even when we have stayed elsewhere (because we had the kids along) we always come to Spinnaker's for dinner. The food is fantastic and the Scotch Ale is awesome. We wil be returning customers always.

We visited Victoria from 6/19 - 6/22/09 and ate at Spinnakers twice during that time! The seafood chowder was incredible at both visits. Also enjoyed nachos, the artisan cheese plate, s'more pudding, blueberry crisp, and truffles (to go). Thanks for a great culinary experience.

We found Spinnakers on a Christmas visit in December 2007. We ate, we drank and then found out you had guest houses. We decided if we ever came back to BC, we would be your guests. Well, we're coming back in June for a retirement party in Abbottford and we've booked a Garden Suite for 5 nights. I can't wait!!! June will be so much more enjoyable than December and we're really looking forward to it.

We spent three nights in the lovely Victorian guesthouse. We can say that the accomodations were charming, the staff was so warm and friendly, and the beds were SO-O-O comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful vacation memory. We hope to return someday, and when we do, Spinnakers will be part of the trip for sure.

Not only do you have the best beer in Victoria but you also have the best mid week cricket team.
Spinnakers Cricket Club lost one game in the 19 played this year and brought home both the League and the Knock-out Cups.

The very best gastro experience in BC. Read the book and made the visit. I love the darker cream ales that are so difficult to come by unless you purchase an import.
The waitress suggested the Jameson's scottish ale. It was just perfect. My wife enjoyed the tea. I had the Tuna. It was a perfectly cooked Just right crusted with local ingredients. My wife with some english roots decided she was going to have the Cornish Pasty. I am always tentative when she decides to tries to satisfy her palate for English foods in Canada.......but she and I were pleasantly surprised. It was very good.
Next morning we decided on breakfast at a local coffee shop but changed our minds and went back to the Spinnacker's and ordered a fried fish each. Once again, we had a great time.....good service and excellent food. I purchased a few bottles of the Jameson's scottish ale and brought them back to Toronto.
Great place, excellent views from the upper floor, superb food and even better beer. Definitely worth a trip. A bit hard to find. Wish they had signs after you cross the bridge.

We had the good fortune to find you brew pub in September while celebrating our anniversary. I was told by a few friends from Vancouver that have stayed in your guest lodge and raved about the food. We arrived early and enjoyed sitting on your deck, while trying a few brew specials and a new wine that I now love. I had dinner there the other evening, and had the pleasure of being attended to by a young woman named 'Missy'. In addition to being a very pleasant and efficient server, I found her to be very knowledgeable and sincerely interested in food and wine, and she was just very genuine in her interaction. We were guests in the 1884 Guesthouse for a week back in September. Since then, we have recommended Spinnakers to a number of friends, many of whom are now planning to vacation there. Discovered your place a couple of years ago, and was astonished at the gorgeous location, terrific service, and the exceptional quality of the food. Have been back 3 times since, and each time it just seems to get better. I am not even a beer drinker (gasp!), but was told by my traveling companions that your stuff is grrrreat. So on this last trip I actually had two - count them! - glasses of your ale. So there! Thanks for being there and I will be seeing you again.
