The end of summer can be a sad time for people in Victoria, but not for breweries! September marks the month of harvest for hop farms all over the Pacific North West. Additionally, it’s a time when late summer apples can be picked fresh full of juicy flavour. Check out our four new and inspired end of summer releases!
Sooke Harvest Fresh Hopped Pale Ale
The Hadfield family grows a variety of five different hops on their hop garden in Sooke. One late summer afternoon, a handful of our brewers ventured to Sooke pick fresh, bright green hops straight from the vine for this unique ale.
Once gathered, the hops were added late boil within 24 hours of being picked. This made for a beautifully aromatic, refreshing ale.

Spinnakers Craft Apple Cider
If you haven’t had the chance to try our apple cider in the pub, a farmers market or a beer festival, now is the time! We are very excited for the release of our craft apple cider in 650ml bombers. These will only be available at Spinnakers Spirit Merchants and at the brewpub. The blend includes Spartan, Gala and Granny Smith apples all sourced out of BC. No back sweetening or sugars were added which makes for a delicious, dry, well balanced cider. We recommend pairing with pulled pork or even spicy thai to really bring out the flavours!
A design inspired by the BC Logger craving a cold, crisp beer after a job well done. This cold fermented lager rounds out our six pack can varieties with the perfect balance of flavour and drinkability. #LookForTheBeard in a BC liquor store near you!
Oatmeal Orange Karma Cream Ale
Taking a fun twist on a traditional ale, this thirst-quenching beer was brewed with sweet orange peel, oats and lactose sugar. Finally, hop backed for a unique flavour and a creamy mouth feel. With a name inspired by Spinnakers’ resident brewery dog, we think with every sip that good Karma will come your way!
