This is a light bodied, lightly hopped, straw coloured effervescent Pale Ale with a delicate hop aroma and a balanced, slightly sweet finish. This light and refreshing adaption of an old German style stems from the Cologne region. This beer was crafted in honour of 150 years of brewing in BC and for the man who strated it right here in Victoria. So here's to you Mr. Steinberger and here's to another 150! best mates: mixed greens, moules frites, pork schnitzel

Our version of this old english style is a mild deep amber coloured ale with a pleasant "nutty" light biscuit and roasted malt flavour and a light flowery hop aroma with a non bitter finish from the use of saaz hops. This is a light bodied beer that appeals to both dark and light beer drinkers alike. best mates: curry, cowichan chicken fettucini

Based on the Northern English version of the style as originally brewed and exported to the troops in India, Spinnakers IPA is strong, full flavoured, with a very well balanced yet assertive hop character. This beer is a favourite of our regular patrons and beer aficionados alike.

An emerging new world style, this double IPA blends north-west and noble bittering hops and finishes with old world noble aromatic hops to create a complex and floral hop profile. Recently named "one of Canada's top beers" by Maclean's magazine! A reddish copper coloured ale brewed from pale and crystal malts, as well as horizon & east kent golding hops. This dark Ale was based on John Michell's 20th brew in 1984 here at Spinnakers. Delightfully smooth with generous pitching's of chocolate & roasted barley with a good hopping of Cascades and Tettanger. We hope this rendition of a Spinnaker's classic will please our first brew master, but also those lucky enough to have enjoyed the original. best mates: smoked fish, pasta, salmon, pork

When Paul asked us to dig back into the brewers log and bring back some of his and the regulars old favs this porter was a must do especially for the summer. With a dark colour, slightly sweet after tones and a light English hop profile this Porter is a great dark beer for these warmer days.

Our lightest beer, Doc’s is a classic English style session beer, brewed with English Pale and a touch of Crystal Malt, lightly hopped with English Kent Goldings for a light delicate finish. 4.6% alc/vol

A clssic Northwest style, late hopped pale ale that we brewed and first served may 15, 2004, in celebration of twenty years of brewing at Spinnakers brewpub and the renaissance of craft brewing in North America.

This is a full bodied stout with loads of chocolate and roasty flavours that mellow into a smooth and rich finish.

Brewed in honour of the Jameson clan of tea, coffee & spice merhants, who settled in Victoria in 1889, this beer is a classic scottish ale, demonstrating a complex malty body, lightly hopped with a touch of pea on the finsh. This beer is the basis of our scottish ale malt vinegar. 6.4% alc/vol

ROY CHAPMAN ANDREWS (1884-1960) A world-famous dinosaur hunter, Roy Chapman Andrews was trained as a biologist and mammologist. He was the first person to find real dinosaur eggs and the inspiration for the movie character Indiana Jones.

A Bavarian style Dunkel Weizenbrau beer, light bodied, chestnut coloured, rich & flavourful with an elegant roasted malt finish and a refined hop character.

A lighter bodied, refreshing turbid wheat beer using weizen yeast from Germany which gives this seasonally brewed summer beer a unique character rich with clove, vanilla and banana. 5.0 % alc/vol

Our take on the classic brown ales of belgium, this is a rich, complex, full bodied beer with a smooth mouth feel and lightly hopped floral aromatic finish.
